Opportunities.
Everything below already exists, and all of it is free. These are the businesses it opens up: you bring the expertise, these are the tools.

The research behind it: the X13 / X14 findings
What is already built
None of this is a plan. Each line is a problem already solved, that you can open right now.
- The open recipe. The whole method is a public repository — the prompts that do the work live in prompts/, free to read, copy and run.
- The factory. One brief goes in and a whole course tree comes out — lessons, content and practice in order — with the misconceptions mapped before a single page exists.
- The player. You paste a package and it runs: a finished course, playing in the browser, nothing to install.
- The five showcases. Five finished courses are live and open above — a French-fractions stadium, a staff onboarding module, a 3D biology lesson, a tutor's week, a whole Grade 6 science year.
- The skills, in a plain chat. Homeschool, tutor, teacher — each is a skill you run in an ordinary chat: paste the prompt, answer a few questions, get a package back.
- The publishing system. Everything is versioned in the open, with the failures left in, so you can read exactly how each piece was made and where it went wrong first.
- The companion that builds it all. A cognitive companion is what sits behind the factory and the skills, doing the building.
What that opens
A course that is a business in its own right
A tutor, a trainer, a subject expert turns what they know into a course and a practice around it. The Year on the Wall is the shape — a whole year, laid out. The Tutor's Desk is the weekly work that keeps it alive. First Week at the Bakery is the first-week product you can sell to a company. The expertise is yours; the course is a thing you own and run.
Packages for a community or a company
“One dish, its story” cultural packages — sponsored, free to everyone who opens them, with your name on them. First-week modules built on commission, the way the Bakery was. Packages an expert builds once and sells under their own name. One method, many things to make with it.
A tutoring practice between the sessions
Rough notes in, a parent-ready report out — every week, for every student. The part of the work that used to happen late at night, done for you, in your own voice. See a sample report, built from a tutor's rough notes.
Coming: a cognitive companion of your own
The cognitive companion that builds everything on this page is Jason's. Yours is coming.
Two ways in
Do it yourself
Free. The doors are at daxfoundation.org/metadax/ — the skills you run in a plain chat, the player, the showcases — and the whole recipe is in the repository. Everything you need to build is already there, open.
Or Obsidian Delta builds it with you
If you would rather have it built: a course from your own material in about a week, a pack built around one child, or tutor reports written in your voice. Jason reads every one before it goes out. You own the files. A de-identified copy can go back to the commons if you choose — that is yours to decide.
No price. Message Jason on LinkedIn and we will work it out together.
What is being worked on now
So you can see the frontier, not just the finished floor. These are the open problems right now:
- Retrieval over whole-course loading (X14). Pulling in only the part of a course a learner needs, instead of loading the whole thing at once.
- A dedicated safety path (X13). A separate, deliberate route for anything a child types that needs care.
- The once-a-day package. A package that updates once a day, so it works where the connection is thin.
- The cultural packages. “One dish, its story” — sponsored, free to all, built to travel.
- The companion, for you. One already builds all of this; the one you can have is being built now.
Follow the work: the experiments and the X13 / X14 findings.
Who you're buying from
Obsidian Delta Corp, since 2015. The done-for-you builds above are the company's work. The DAX Foundation is the open project behind MetaDAX — separate, and not for sale.
The recipe is free at daxfoundation.org/metadax/. This page is for people who want to build something on it.
A Founding Gift for formaddie arrives in November.
